Hi! I’m Susana, but everyone in England calls me Su.
Why?
Because people kept misspelling my name in ways I didn’t even think possible! So I started signing Su. People still misspell it.
I’m 5" (152cm) tall and I'd like to think I weigh about 7.3 st (46kg) .
I am the founder of P’tit Affair, and I’m thrilled to share my story with you!
I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Faial, in the Azores – a place brimming with stunning nature, warm seas, and, in my completely biased opinion, the best food in the world. If you’re ever visiting, let me know! I’d be happy to share tips to help you avoid the tourist traps.
At 21, I moved to Lisbon to study Marketing and stayed until life took me in a different direction.
Enter England: I moved here with my then-boyfriend (now husband) to start a new chapter in life and work.
Since then, I’ve built a career in Digital and Ecommerce, and in 2023, I took on the exciting challenge of managing a Shopify agency.
It’s been an incredible journey, but for years, one thing has consistently frustrated me – finding clothes that truly fit as a petite woman.
After more than 10 years (seriously!) of searching for timeless pieces that didn’t require endless alterations or constant replacements, I decided to stop searching and start creating. That’s how P’tit Affair came to life.
The funny thing is, I never dreamed of being an entrepreneur. It was never on the books. But since I started idealising P’tit Affair, it’s as though a spark has ignited within me – one I can’t ignore.
I truly believe in this project and its potential to help so many women around the world find confidence, comfort, and style, effortlessly.
There’s a saying we use in Portugal: 'Devagar se vai ao longe' - ‘Slow and steady wins the race.’
It’s a philosophy I’ve embraced while planning P’tit Affair, taking thoughtful steps to create timeless fashion that petite women can truly count on.
This journey has been anything but rushed, and it's only just starting!
I truly do believe the care and patience invested will make all the difference. I hope you do too!
With a vision for timeless, well-fitting clothing for petite women, I poured my heart into designing pieces that resonate with women like me.
Each garment is thoughtfully planned and designed with attention to detail, ensuring it fits perfectly and lasts for years.
My goal isn’t just to make stylish clothes – it’s to create wardrobe staples you’ll want to wear again and again, season after season.

My Journey in a Snapshot
• 1990s: Growing up on Faial Island, surrounded by nature, dreaming big.
• 2006: Moved to Lisbon to study Marketing and began building a career in Digital and eCommerce.
• 2015: Relocated to England with my then-boyfriend (now husband) and faced the endless struggle of finding petite clothing that fit perfectly.
• 2024: Launching P’tit Affair, turning a decade of frustration into a timeless fashion brand for petite women!
Fun Facts About Me
• Favourite food: Salted codfish fritters (Pataniscas de Bacalhau) – how Portuguese is that?!
• Guilty pleasure: Harry Potter – books, audiobooks, movies, you name it.
• Coffee or tea? Espresso. Always espresso.
• Dream travel destination: Cuba – for the lightness, the culture, the vibes, and of course, the sea and weather.
• Random skill: Scout knots. I can (or so I claim) build things with rope and wood
